Play Room

First impression of a dental clinic should be friendly and not hostile. Therefore our centre offers an area designated as play area where children can play, read books and be comfortable when they are waiting for the pediatric dentist to see them.

Distraction

Televisions attached to the ceiling above our dental chairs provide children with a positive distraction. By keeping the patient distracted with the television it allows the dentist and team to communicate with the parents while thoroughly examining child's teeth. During treatment procedures, the child has the television to listen to and focus on which makes the appointments seem shorter and much more enjoyable for the child.

Sedation

Sedation

Sedation is most commonly used during extensive procedures, for patients with dental phobia or for patients who find it difficult to sit still. There are different types of sedation, including nitrous oxide ("laughing gas"), oral sedatives and general anesthesia. If your child is nervous about the dentist ask our staff about one of these options.

Oral Care

Prevention is better than cure and begins at home. Parents are given detailed information for maintaining proper oral hygiene of their child based on child’s age. Parents are educated and given demonstration regarding use of toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss and mouthrinse.  Children are made to practise in a special area designated as tooth brushing area.

Parents are educated at length regarding prevention and treatment of oral diseases. Our staff uses various audio visual aids to make education more effective. Parents are also counselled regarding proper diet of their child.
